In case anyone reading this letter doesn’t know who the “Elizabeth” is who bought Sol a present, I have the answer. Elizabeth was a “maid” who worked at my home until I was about 6 or 7 years old. She was very much a part of the household. She left us to get married. It was a definite feeling of rejection.
